Recently, on the special instructions of Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif, some changes have been made in the Himmat card program. It should be remembered that in the beginning, it was announced to give a monthly stipend of Rs 7500 to disabled people. But recently, the stipend has been increased from Rs 7500 to Rs 10500 on the special instructions of Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif.

Along with this, 173 registration centers have been established across the province by the Punjab government to help disabled people who cannot complete their registration online. Now, disabled persons who cannot complete their registration online can go to their nearest registration center and complete their registration. Eligibility Criteria

  • The applicant must have a disability certificate issued by the Department of Social Welfare, Punjab.
  • The applicant must be a Pakistani citizen as well as a resident of Punjab.
  • The applicant should not be employed by any government or non-government organization.
  • The applicant is not able to work as per the disability certificate issued by the Department of Social Welfare, Punjab.
  •  The applicant is not receiving financial assistance from any government program.
  •  The applicant must have a PMT score below the 32 level as per the NSER survey.

Documents Required For Registration

Persons with disabilities belonging to Punjab who are not capable of working and want to complete their registration in the Himmat Card program will need the following documents:

  • Disability Certificate
  • Identity card
  • NSER Survey Slip
  • PSER Survey Slip
  • Family Registration Certificate
  • Proof of monthly income
  • Character Certificate
  • Household electricity and gas bill

Note that those who do not have the following documents will not be able to complete the registration.

How to Complete Registration in Himat Card Program?

If we talk about the procedure to complete the registration, the Punjab government has provided two procedures to the disabled persons to complete the registration. Within the first procedure, persons with disabilities can submit an online application by visiting the official website of DPMIS www.dpmis.punjab.gov.pk/login. While in the other method, those who cannot complete the online registration can go to their local Social Welfare and Baitul-Mal Department office to complete their registration.

Apart from this, a helpline 1312 has been introduced by Punjab Social Welfare and Baitul Mal Department for queries and complaints related to the Himat Card. People who are facing any kind of difficulties in completing the registration can get information by calling the helpline anytime from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. from Monday to Saturday.
